Pralognan la Vanoise

Accessed by a corkscrew road tucked into the shadow of mighty mountains, Pralognan’s location is beyond compare. It is loved by visitors for its beauty and tranquility. As a ski resort, it’s not so large as its near neighbor “Les TROIS Vallees,” but in a way, that’s part of the attraction.

Whilst fairly small, Pralognan has much to offer. There is a good selection of shops and restaurants in the village. The alpine ski domain is great for families, with a range of slopes for beginners and confirmed skiers and plenty of “off piste”. All slopes are within easy walking distance from the chalet and there is also a free ski shuttle to take you round the village. Apart from alpine skiing there is a host of other activities including cross country skiing, ski touring in the National Park de la Vanoise, snow trekking, ice skating in the Olympic skating rink, dog sledging and a brand new leisure centre with indoor pool, Jacuzzi, spa, bowling, bar etc. There is also a fun packed programme of animations for all the family including regular ice hockey exhibition matches.

More experienced skiers looking for a more extensive ski domain could make the short journey either to Champagny en Vanoise (15 minutes drive) which gives them direct access to the Paradiski area with Les Arcs and La Plagne or alternatively to Courcheval (30 minutes drive) for access to the Three Vallees ski resorts.

Pralognan is within the Park National de la Vanoise, home to 2,100 Ibex, 1,200 species of flowers and 600 kilometers of signed paths.

It can be appreciated why so many visitors return to Pralognan in both winter and summer.
